The short version: there is no account, no server, and no tracking. Your camera is used solely to count your wake-up exercise reps live on your device, and nothing it sees is ever recorded or sent anywhere.
Wakke is built by an independent developer and engineered to collect as little about you as possible.
Camera & Mission Verification
Wake-up missions use your camera to verify whether you performed an exercise movement (such as push-ups or squats) to dismiss your alarm. Video is analysed live, on your iPhone, using Apple's native Vision framework. Frames are held in volatile memory only for the fraction of a second it takes to measure joint positions, and are immediately discarded.
No photo or video is ever recorded, saved to your device's storage, or transmitted to us or to anyone else. The app has no facility to upload camera feeds because it has no server.
Face Data
Wakke does not collect, store, use, share, sell, or retain face data of any kind.
The app uses only Apple's VNDetectHumanBodyPoseRequest, a body-pose API that returns the approximate positions of body joints such as shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles. The app does not use face detection, face landmark detection, facial geometry, face recognition, TrueDepth face mapping, or ARKit face tracking. It does not create, derive, or store a face map, faceprint, or any other facial template.
Apple's body-pose skeleton includes a single "nose" point, which the app reads only as a rough head-height reference when checking whether you have lowered your chest during push-ups,squatted below parallel, or raised your hands overhead. It is a single x/y coordinate. It contains no facial features, cannot be used to recognise or identify anyone, is never linked to any identifier, and is discarded together with the rest of the frame within a fraction of a second.
Nothing derived from the camera, including body-joint positions, is written to disk, added to a profile, or transmitted off your device. It is never shared with any third party. There is no retention period because nothing is retained: all processing happens locally in memory and ends the moment your alarm mission ends.
Audio & Motion Sensors
Alarm sirens, voice feedback, and motion sensors (accelerometer and gyroscope) operate entirely on your device to wake you up and verify physical movement. None of this sensor data is ever transmitted off your iPhone.
Your Alarms & Progress
Your alarm schedules, morning rarity rankings, completed missions, and streaks are stored locally on your device using Apple's standard on-device storage. They are not sent to us and are not backed up to any external server we control. Deleting the app deletes this data permanently.
Purchases & Subscriptions
Optional Pro subscriptions and Lifetime unlocks are processed directly by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat solely to verify whether your entitlement is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated app user identifier and your receipt status. It does not receive your name, email address, or Apple ID.
Apple handles all payment processing. We never see or have access to your credit card or billing details.
Analytics & Tracking
None. The app contains no third-party advertising SDK, no behavioral analytics, and no cross-app tracking of any kind. We do not use Apple's Advertising Identifier (IDFA).
Children
The app is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Your Rights
Because we hold no personal data about you on any server, there is nothing for us to export, correct, or delete on request. All of your data lives on your iPhone and is entirely under your control.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date.
